Hidden House began in Springdale, Arkansas, as the vision of company president, Duane Scoggins who saw a need for a quality heirloom Bible that could stand the test of time. Unable to find a leather-bound Bible to meet his standards, Scoggins set out to create the finest Bible on the market – and accomplished that goal. Scoggins produced hand-bound Bibles in exotic leathers that were rarely used in the bookbinding industry. Working primarily with ostrich, elephant, lamb and alligator skin he created a product exclusively available from Hidden House.   Word quickly spread about the unique product that was being created in Springdale, Arkansas. During the company’s infancy Hidden House Bibles were being sought out, bought and used by leaders in ministry; CEOs of major corporations; and even given as a gift to the President of the United States. Through word of mouth advertising alone, Hidden House was sought after to sell products through business-to-business accounts.
